Frequency Modes of Ultrafast Pumped, High-Gain Modulational Instability: Chirp Tuning & Characterization

Abstract

The effective number of frequency modes for twin beams generated in a gas-filled PCF can be continuously tuned via the pump-pulse chirp. Spectral covariance measurements yield the shapes and relative weights of the modes.
