Angle-Resolved Measurement of Photoluminescence Spectra for Illumination and Display Applications

Abstract

Photoluminescence spectra from a laser-driven phosphor layer vary with the emission angle. This phenomenon is attributed to uneven absorption of the laser light and self-absorption of the emitted photons within the phosphor layer.
