Significant Enhancement of Magneto-Optical Rotation in a Low-Light Resonant Tripod System

Abstract

The magneto-optical rotation experienced by a resonant probe field in an ambient-temperature atomic vapor is enhanced more than ten-fold when a secondary low-intensity optical field is introduced, forming an atomic tripod system.
