Abstract

We theoretically demonstrate sub-wavelength focusing in air using doped InAs/intrinsic InAs hyperbolic metamaterial (HMM). Sub-wavelength focusing in air is achieved in the near field at wavelength of 9.31µm with focusing distance of 1µm with resolution down to 0.13λ.
