Abstract
Multifocal optical and flat meta-lenses are investigated towards the design possibility of an improved multifocal meta-lens with ultra-thin multilayers and flat shape that can overcome the background noise occurring from the physical restriction of multiple focus regions, typical in both multifocal conventional and meta-lenses. The ways to manipulate the diffraction-limited focusing and subwavelength resolution imaging will be also discussed.
