Abstract

By combining high-energy infrared laser pulses, which are generated by a dual-chirped optical parametric amplification (DC-OPA) method, and an optical waveform synthesizer, a strong ‘water window’ soft X-ray with 50-attosecond pulse duration can be obtained.
