Abstract

A Temperature sensor using stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS)-based slow light is proposed and numerically demonstrated. A time delay of 190 ns can be achieved using 50 mW pump power in a 10 m As2S3 chalcogenide photonic crystal fiber (PCF).
