A Photonic Crystal Fiber with High Birefringence-stress Stability for Interferometric Fiber Optic Gyroscope

Abstract

A photonic crystal fiber (PCF) with a spiral rectangles array is proposed to achieve high birefringence-stress stability. The PCF can be used for winding the coil of fiber optic gyroscopes with a lower birefringence-stress sensitivity.
