Thermal polarimetry based on metallic nanowire array

Abstract

We have explored opto-thermal properties of a metallic nanowire-grid polarizer. Thermal extinction ratio was obtained at 4.78 dB with a temperature difference ΔT = 54.3 K between p and s-polarized light component.
