Cryogenic (4 K) Performance Projections for Ultra-Small Cavity Oxide-Free VCSELs

Abstract

Very-low-power and high-reliability data transfer at cryogenic is possible via small-sized VCSELs. We make projections for 4K operation of oxide-free VCSELs sizes of 2-6μm, where we previously had shown experimentally its efficient operation at 300K.
