Hybrid plasmonic high Q-factor resonances in a periodic metasurface

Abstract

By tuning the thickness of a micrometer-thin cladding-layer on top of a plasmonic metasurface, we experimentally split a broad localized surface plasmon resonance into a series of narrower high Q-factor resonances.
