Can thermal annealing of ZnO and ZnS powders produce Type-II heterostructures?

Abstract

Charge separation in ZnO/ZnS type II heterostructures may prove useful as a photocatalyst support. This work used cathodoluminescence spectroscopy to explore whether thermal annealing of ZnO and ZnS powders can synthesize such heterostructures.
