Direct Laser Written Waveguide in YAG:Cr4+ Single Crystal with Low Propagation Loss and Low Depolarization Effect

Abstract

Single mode waveguide with propagation loss lower than 1 dB/cm in the spectral region of YAG:Cr4+ amplification was manufactured. Detrimental change of polarization state was found to be minimized by proper choice of inscription parameters.
