Abstract

Tamm-plasmon polaritons form between the distributed Bragg mirrors and the metal. It can be directly excited from external light sources and induced by both transverse magnetic/electric modes. We propose a wavelength-sized cavity of a 1-dimensional lattice of silver strips with Si/SiO2 DBRs, which behaves like a photonic crystal nanobeam cavity.
