Colorless PAM-4 for WDM-PON Systems using a Fabry-Perot Laser Configuration

Abstract

We propose a PAM-4 WDM-PON system using a colorless transmitter based on a Fabry-Perot laser. Transmissions of ~41km at 5 Gbps are reached with better performance than a conventional VCSEL.
