Vector Wave Formulation for Mode Computation and Propagation for High Index Contrast Waveguides

Abstract

A split-step non-paraxial finite difference method is presented to analyze 3-D vector wave equation for high index contrast waveguides. The method can be used to obtain modes as well as propagation of an incident field.
