Germania Glass-Based Negative-Curvature Hollow-Core Fiber for Mid-IR Applications

Abstract

We report, for the first t ime, a g ermania-based a ntiresonant negative-curvature hollow-core fiber with <1 dB/m loss in the 2–6 µm wavelength range which is lower by at least one order than offered by silica fibers.
