Coherent Optical Technologies for Free-Space Optical Communication and Sensing

Abstract

Coherent optical detection enabled by digital signal processing (DSP) can be applied to free-space optical communication and sensing. Applications including electronic wavefront correction for communication and diffraction-limited laser energy delivery through turbulent atmosphere will be discussed.
