Power Scaling of Yb:YAG Thin-Disk-Laser and ZeroPhonon-Line Pumping

Abstract

Increasing the power scaling potential of Yb:YAG thin-disk-lasers utilizing zerophonon-line pumping is investigated and thoroughly discussed. Numerical predictions compared with experimental results for 969 nm pumping sources.
