Dissipative Kerr Solitons in a Bi-directional Optical Microresonator with Backscattering

Abstract

We report numerical and theoretical results of dissipative Kerr solitons in bi-directional microring resonators in the presence of backscattering. Our results include original analytical model accurately describing linear and nonlinear cross-action of the counter-propagating waves.
