Noncollinear phase-matched sum-frequency generation in KTP for photodynamic therapy

Abstract

We demonstrated noncollinear sum-frequency generation between the signal output of a Nd:YAG laser-pumped optical parametric oscillator and the fundamental wavelength at 1.0642 μm in KTiOPO4. The output pulse energies of 4.8±0.4 mJ/pulse were obtained at 656 nm.
