Tunable Mid-IR Hybrid Fiber/Crystal Laser for Gas Sensing

Abstract

A rapidly tunable picosecond PM ytterbium fiber laser pumps an OPO for wavelength conversion to the mid-IR. This compact and transportable source permits fast sensing of methane, and hydrochloric acid with two different detection schemes.
