Abstract

One approach to generate emission-less electrical energy is to increase the overall efficiency of photovoltaic systems, like solar cells or modules by laser surface treatment. Here laser processing is applied to reduce the reflectivity on crystalline silicon solar cells, to reduce structure sizes for patterning processes applied for thin film solar modules, and to improve the opto-electrical properties of front-contact cathodes for thin-film solar modules.
