Investigations and applications of advanced laser processing technology

Abstract

With the development of advanced manufacturing technology, laser processing is widely used in many important fields, such as aeronautic, astronautic, auto, electron, electrical apparatus, metallurgy, mechanical manufacturing. This technology is also playing more and more important role on improving the product quality, labor productivity, automatic level, reducing pollution and material consumption. Some key technologies related with laser processing, such as laser welding, laser rapid manufacturing, laser peening, laser-plasma composite spraying, laser cutting and drilling hole, are discussed respectively in this paper from technology principles, research status at home and abroad and development trends, which provides reference for the investigations and applications of laser processing.
