Multiple Femtosecond Laser Filaments Generated by Using Axicon

Abstract

By focusing femtosecond laser pulse with axicon, regularization of multiple filaments has been achieved in experiments. We propose that cylindrical-symmetry-broking of the initial beam profile could be responsible for the observed phenomenon.
