Evolutionary Optimization of Nondiffracting Helicon Beams

Abstract

Applying an evolutionary algorithm, we optimized a helicon beam in a high resolution imaging sytem, achieving a tight intensity profile while maintaining self-rotation and nondiffraction. This results-oriented methodology is widely applicable in beam engineering.
