Metamaterials for omnidirectional reflectors and hollow-core waveguides

Abstract

We show that metamaterials have omnidirectional reflecting properties in the frequency region between the magnetic plasma frequency and the electric plasma frequency. These properties are useful for reflectivity control, low loss mirrors, and hollow-core waveguides.
