Scaling Behavior of the Anderson Localization Transition of Light

Abstract

Pulsed transmission measurements on colloidal titania reveal a time dependent photon diffusion constant D(t) ~ t−α. The scaling behavior of α and of the localization length with kl* provides evidence for a transition to Anderson localization of light.
