Coherent backscattering from resonant disordered media

Abstract

The presence of Mie resonances in random assemblies of dense packed monodisperse polystyrene spheres is studied. Ambiguities in transmission measurements are discussed and backscattering cone is presented as an optimal tool to study Mie resonances.
