Towards the observation of the photonic Hall effect in cold atomic clouds

Abstract

Performing exact numerical simulations, the photonic Hall effect is found to exist in clouds of resonant Rayleigh scatterers in a magnetic field. Our results also suggest that it could be observed in cold atomic vapors.
