Tailoring the properties of designer surface plasmons for subdiffraction light manipulation

Abstract

We investigate the properties of engineered surface plasmons at the surfaces of periodic media. We further show how these can be exploited for long-range subdiffraction light guiding and also discuss other possible applications.
