Frequency stabilization of a mid-infrared optical frequency comb to single-frequency optical references

Abstract

A mid-infrared (MIR) optical frequency comb produced by difference frequency generation is stabilized to cw optical references with residual linewidth <10 Hz. This stabilization will be important for dual-comb spectroscopy in the MIR.
