Development of new generation lithium niobate-based high energy single-cycle terahertz sources

Abstract

Three new-generation terahertz sources are presented. These setups can solve the problems of energy-scalability and pulse-homogeneity. More than 15-mJ THz energy is predicted, nearly two orders of magnitudes higher than has been achieved earlier.
