Mid-infrared supercontinuum generation in polarization maintained ZBLAN fibers using a femtosecond Tm:YAP laser

Abstract

Mid-infrared supercontinuum generation in polarization-maintained fluoride fibers has been demonstrated. The coherence of the supercontinuum is dramatically im-proved by reducing the round trip number of the 2 µm Tm:YAP regenerative amplifier.
