Abstract

Holmium-based microchip lasers (Ho:YAG, Ho:YAP “a” and “c”-cut) were tested under CW 1.94 µm Tm-fibre l aser l ongitudinal p umping. M ulti-watt diffraction-limited output with quantum-limited efficiencies was obtained at wavelengths 2119, 2123, and 2132 nm.
