Dissipative Quadratic Solitons: Few-Cycle Frequency Combs in the Mid-IR

Abstract

We present recent experimental results on formation of dissipative quadratic solitons in low-finesse high-gain optical parametric oscillators. Such solitons lead to few-cycle frequency combs in the mid-infrared and can be realized in on-chip platforms.
