Abstract

We report on an ultra-broadband mid-infrared source based on intrapulse difference-frequency-generation with time-delay and chirp optimizations of the pump and signal pulses, delivering 600 nJ, 50 fs pulses at 8.6 µm and 250 kHz repetition-rate.
