22 and 46 Degree Halos; Theory and Observations

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Calibrated photometric intensity data are reported for the 22 degree halo. The observations are shown to agree well with a one dimensional theory (refraction in the principal plane). Theoretical polarization models are presented for a variety of width/length crystal ratios for both halos.
