Abstract
The information content of femtosecond time-resolved nonlinear optical transients can be fully exploited by combining conventional kinetic analyses of the transient waveforms with a spectral analysis of the discreet Fourier transform (FFT) of the same. Qualitative and quantitative constraints on the sample systems and time-resolved data format must be observed to generate rigorously defensible and verifiable data interpretations.
