Single-shot computational polarized light microscopy for imaging of pathological crystals

Abstract

We present a single-shot polarized microscopy method that rapidly reconstructs the transmittance, retardance and slow-axis orientation images of birefringent objects. This quantitative method can help medical professionals identify pathological crystals with improved contrast and time-efficiency.
