Feasibility of imaging Meissner’s corpuscles with portable confocal microscopy

Abstract

We tested the feasibility of non-invasively imaging Meissner’s corpuscles using a low-cost portable confocal microscope (PCM). Preliminary PCM images demonstrated that we can clearly visualize Meissner’s corpuscles from the human finger in vivo.
