Abstract
The effects of the inhibitor on the morphology and the electro-optical properties of PDLC films were studied. It is shown that the polymerization inhibitors can efficiently delay the polymerization of PDLC. With the increment of polymerization inhibitor, the electro-optical properties of the PDLC films increase firstly and then reduce. Compared with the PDLC films without inhibitor, the contrast ratio of the sample with the 0.5 wt% inhibitor was enhanced by about 69% and the drive voltage was decreased by 40%.
