Lasing From Flexible Microcavities and Their Applications

Abstract

Microcavities with various configurations including microfibers, hemispheres, and spheres are fabricated in a flexible way. By loading dye molecules in these structures, high Q optically pumped lasing is obtained and their sensing applications are demonstrated.
