Large electromagnetic field enhancement in Au triangle for optical Kerr effect

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Using UV-vis-NIR spectroscopy and Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) method, we experimentally and theoretically investigated the dipole and quadrupole plasmon mode in Au triangles, and found large electromagnetic field enhancement, which makes the Au triangle be good optical Kerr effect material.
