Abstract
Oscillatory potentials (OPs) of the electroretinogram appear to be generated within the inner nuclear layer of the primate retina1 and integrated at the level of the Mueller cells2, where the b-wave originates. OPs have been shown to be useful in the diagnosis, management, and/or clinical investigation of retinal diseases, including diabetic retinopathy3,4, hereditary retinal degenerations5, and congenital stationary night blindness6. Abnormalities of OPs may reflect photoreceptor damage (abnormal signal provided to the inner retinal circuitry), inner retinal damage, or both.
