Optical Methods for the Measurement of Anterior Chamber Depth

Abstract

The depth of the anterior chamber of the eye has important implications both for the vegatative physiology of the eye and for its optics. Additionally, measurements of angle of gaze may depend upon the location of the image of the pupil, which depends upon the actual anterior chamber depth. We have used this fact to determine anterior chamber depth from a knowledge of the location of the pupillary image and the power of the cornea in the horizontal meridian.
