Abstract

Multi-Wavelength Laser Source (MWLS) based on two DFB laser beat signal is introduced. The beat signal formed by the interference of two DFB lasers is used to create multiple channels through optical fiber non-linearity. The MWLS can cover different wavelength bands as well as different channel spacing. In this arrangement, wavelength locking on the seed lasers ensures accurate wavelength channels in the whole output channel set.
