On using optical-layer link information parameters in distributed impairment constraint-based routing

Abstract

Impairments are a major issue in transparent networks. Impairment-aware routing (ICBR) proposals require complex analytical models that are unsuitable in distributed environments. We propose an aggregation method to obtain optical-layer link parameters for distributed ICBR.
