Measurement of First- to Fourth-Order Polarization Mode Dispersion in Optical Fibers

Abstract

A high-order polarization mode dispersion technique is proposed to perform the first-to fourth-order PMD measurement. It is experimentally demonstrated to be far more accurate in high-order PMD measurement than the conventional Mueller matrix method.
