Clock Extraction from NRZ-DPSK Signal Using NRZ-DPSK to RZ-OOK Converter Based on Cascaded Long-Period Fiber Grating

Clock extraction from 10-Gb/s NRZ-DPSK signal using a cascaded long-period fiber grating is experimentally demonstrated. The resultant clock has low timing jitter of <1ps. The method is easily applicable up to 640-Gb/s.
